When I'm feeling so high, I got a place in the sky
I'm looking down on a world that's cold as hell
And when I'm down I look up, but I don't see no hope
Will we ever make it back from here, it's hard to tell
Rivers of methane, Snowflakes of sulphur
The sounds that I hear from this other world, it makes me scared
Head out from IO, all the way to Callisto
Over and over again, I wonder why I dared
I see a spec of light, and I think of home
But still I have to face, another sunrise on Europa
There are troubles of magnitude
The orbit is becoming skewed
Now I’m losing altitude
We're going Down Going Down
Lay in the sun for hours and hours
Feel the warmth and scent of the flowers
Songbirds will call in valleys and meadows
Laugh in the valley and listen for echoes
Then I look down and see the destruction
The forests are burned the rivers are dry
The plague that came caused the corruption
Then we condemned the world to die
I can't see, what will be our destiny, as we leave
As the fleet ascends, with no planned journey end
And we grieve
Now we leave this cold Earth, we didn't value its worth
Looking for a place to live that may not exist
To history I say, you should have seen this day
You've sentenced us to a hell in life support
