When they first met, on that dark and fateful night,
She had the feeling, something just wasn't right,
But It's hard to know the score with no writing on the wall,
All that he knew, was that the good times were to come.
Anticipation can be the highest high of all,
The anticipation of elation, was the high that made the call,
He didn't know the score as he broke into her door,
All he knew, was that good times were to come.
She hears the noises in the night
Laying still too scared to switch the light,
She couldn't know she'd been randomly picked for his games,
He couldn't know about the knife that she hid by her bed.
The room went silent as reached down to the knife,
She knew she'd have to act now or regret it all her life,
But it's hard to know what's right, when everything's so wrong,
All she knew, was that the good times were all done
So much planning so much time, knowing soon that he would cross the line.
Fantasising, living through and dreaming of this night
but then planning is the key to the art of escape and staying free
the final chapter of a long and terrible beautiful fantasy
